also after Arthur went to Avalon Merlin went back to Camelot to tell them what happened and Gwen lifted the ban on magic since Morgana was dead and the bad guys of magic had been wiped out in the battle of Camlann, so everything was peaceful and happy and Geoffrey of Monmouth and Gaius talked about Merlin and Geoffrey wrote the history of the kings of Britain, since everyone knew Merlin was a sorcerer now and he got the love and respect he deserved, even though it was only Arthur’s opinion that mattered most to him and he couldn’t stay in Camelot as there were too many memories of Arthur, and Merlin is immortal but he got to be with everyone again since when they died he could just go back to the Crystal Cave and communicate with their spirits and he saved Aithusa he cured her of her wounds and she was able to speak again and she returned to his side and Gwen had a baby Arthur and then that Arthur grew up and became a great king like his father with Merlin’s help and he taught him magic, and then that kid had his own kid that Merlin also taught and he has been looking after the Pendragon line for all these years and Morgana was redeemed in the afterlife when she got to be with Morgause again and i’m sorry for rambling i need closure i need happy endings fuck.
